We're happy to share the first 2 songs of our recording sessions in Trypoul Studios: Acoustic versions of 'Well' and a new song 'Embrace'. Embrace:
The first song we recorded was 'Embrace', a new song about friendship and taking initiative to come together, as opposed to staying indoors, wasting your time feeling lonely when there's people who'd be happy to spend time with you. The video was filmed from an upper view, to create a a sort of distant feeling that suits the atmosphere of the song.
Credits 'Embrace':
Drums: Ferd van Stekelenburg
Guitar: Jasper van Eck
Backing vocals: Martijn Claessens
Composition, vocals & piano: Teun van Erp
Audio engineer: Dirk Joosten (owner of Trypoul Studios)
Footage: Jessie van Erp & Patrick van Erp
Audio & video post-production: Teun van Erp
Well:
For this acoustic, live version of 'Well' we decided to slow down the tempo of the song, and replace the synthesizer in the 'drop' with the samples of the drumpad. We wanted to have a different feel for every video of the Trypoul Sessions, so 'Well' was filmed in one shot.
You can listen to the original version of 'Well' here.
